I had the pleasure of attending school with Joe. After reading his book I felt like I totally understood his struggles as a child growing up in Pittsburg, I went through similar struggles with feeling out of place growing up in the downtown area, having family members struggle with drug addiction so I'm very happy that he was able to become a better person after all those demons. It feels good to know that his in a better place and that everyday he makes it count. I'm very proud of him and I'm sure he will continue to do GREAT THINGS!

I had the pleasure of meeting Joe a couple days ago at my school, he was truly an inspiration and made me realize the things that really matter in life. He is an amazing person and I know he left a mark on all of the people in my class. He has shown me the true meaning of what life is all about and I will always be so very thankful for the great opportunity I was given to meet him and hear his story.

Coach OB's story is tragic and inspiring all in the same breath. I knew coach prior to his arrest and he was the most dynamic person I had ever met. He continues to have a magnetic presence when dealing with young people. He spoke to my Street Law class about his life and his experience with Federal Corrections. It is a message I don't think my students will easily forget.

Mr. O'Brien, thank you very much for speaking to our class today! Your message is a great one that should be heard nationwide! I am amazed at how you over came your past and the fact that you accepted responsibility is truly inspirational. Your passion for sports is seen when you speak, especially about coaching. You should know that you are a coach and a great one at that! It doesn't have to be a sport, but you simply sharing your message is coaching! I appreciate you sharing your story with us, it meant a lot. I am looking forward to reading your book that you signed and gave to me today! Thanks again! I must say, your much more outstanding now, than back then in my opinion. You're saving lives and making a difference. Its people like you that give hope to future generations because you have lived and learned and can share your wisdom! Thank you again for coming to our class today, Destiny Butler

I had the pleasure of attending Joe's speech at the College of Southern Idaho. His message was powerful and interesting. I couldn't believe he was so open and honest. I know there will be audience members helped by his message.

I had the privelage of meeting Joe O'Brien several months ago. His story is truely amazing. As a college basketball coach, I would love to have Joe speak to the student athletes that attend our college so they can see someone who was in a similar position and lost it all because of bad choices.

I'm excited that Joe has decided to share his experience with the world. Joe has a powerful message and delivers it with authenticity. If he can reach one person he has done his job. Keep up the good work!
